About Tricia M

I know about acne because I have suffered from it since I was a teenager. Acne made people ridicule me and practically ruined my life. I have tried just about every single acne medication out there. From Clean&Clear, to Neutrogina, to Strident, to Skin ID, to Murad, to Proactiv. I also tried eating healthier and washing my face three times a day, which only irritated it more and produced more acne. My dermatologist finally put me on some birth control to try and clear it. It worked and I only get a few break outs here and there. I usually treat it with some baking soda and olive oil. Fighting acne can become a losing battle, especially for those who do not know all the different types of remedies are available. There are a number of different acne medications formulated today for people who have acne. The names will vary by brand, effects, and ingredients. Everyone will know what is right for them when they try the different products. For more severe conditions, contacting a dermatoligist is very highly recommended.

Exposed Skin Care

If you suffer from acne then you have probably tried just about anything to try and get rid of it. Living with acne can cause anyone to feel less than attractive and makes people spend money on acne treatments that may or may not work. People want to use acne products that guarantee to eliminate acne and also that will not cause any side effects due to chemicals. Who would not want to try an acne system that is both inexpensive and natural?

I have suffered from acne since middle school; it went from mild to severe after I turned 13. But since then, I have used every product that you can think of and they either made my acne worse or gave me horrible dry skin, but still I tried. If you have or currently suffer from acne, then you have probably tried everything. I am that person who has tried everything both prescribed and over the counter. I have tried everything from Nature’s Cure, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, Proactiv, Skin ID, Murad, Olay, and finally Clearasil. There comes a time when people actually reach their breaking point and try other natural ingredients for their skin, and depending on how often they are used, they actually work. I finally came across a product called Exposed Skin Care on my many searches online and let me tell you that I am so glad I did. But like with other acne treatments, you should do a bit of research and find out more about the product and see if it will help with your skin type. Our #2 Pick: Zeno Review

I have suffered from acne since middle school; it went from mild to severe after I turned 13. But since then, I have used every product that you can think of and they either made my acne worse or gave me horrible dry skin, but still I tried. If you have or currently suffer from acne, then you have probably tried everything. I know I have and my last resort was Zeno. Who wants to live acne for the rest of their lives?

Many acne products out there are not for everyone. Everyone has a different type and certain ingredients may not agree with each skin type. For example, I have combination skin (dry and oily) so I have to choose a product that will balance each out because if I do not, then I may end up with extremely dry skin or very oily skin. In order for me to balance out my skin tone, I have to follow a certain regime every day, if not then my acne would flare up. But because I was so tired of the same endless regime and wasting money on products that did nothing but flare up my acne, I decided to give Zeno a chance and let me tell you, I am so glad that I did. Zeno changed my life and I cannot live without it!

What is Zeno?

Zeno is a type of acne treatment that is used in the treatment of blemishes. Its thermal waves work very effectively on most acne prone skin. It is extremely small and can be taken with you everywhere and does not to be prescribed by a doctor. Zeno is indeed FDA approved and is meant to clear up acne quickly and effectively.

Cucumbers: Do they really work?

With so many acne products on the market, it is very hard to choose the one that will work for your skin type. Many acne products do not work and some cause acne to flare-up even more. Not only is it hard to keep trying the many different acne products out there, they are also extremely expensive. I have tried everything from Nature’s Cure, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Proactiv, Skin ID, Murad, Olay, and finally Clearasil. There comes a time when people actually reach their breaking point and try other natural ingredients for their skin, and depending on how often they are used, they actually work. They most certainly worked for me. Cucumbers and Zeno actually saved my life! Not only are cucumbers healthy and can be used for other things, but they are very inexpensive only about .79 cents.

Cucumbers are a natural way to cool the skin down. I even drink cucumber water to start the cleansing from the inside out. Cucumbers can even be put on the eyes to help with swelling and dark circles, so imagine what it will do to your pimples. Cucumbers hold very healthy substances in them that help skin heal and become healthy; these include water, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and amino acids. The vitamins are extremely potent antioxidants and will reduce the effects of free radicals on the skin. The Vitamin E in the cucumber helps with skin restoration (clearing up any acne scars). Cucumbers are also known to have a tightening effect on the skin. It removes impurities and dead skin cells from the skin’s pores and makes them appear smaller.

Cucumbers are good to eat; however, they also hold some healing properties, especially when it comes to acne. I use cucumbers for my skin every chance I get and it always leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean.

Functions

To help heal acne from deep within the pores
Promotes clear skin
Clears skin of scars
Cleanses, tones, and hydrate the skin

Natural?

Very natural
No harsh chemicals whatsoever
No pills needed

Time frame

You’ll be surprised at how quickly it works
1 week for me (when used every day)
When using a slice of cucumber, rub whole face with the slice and leave on for about 20 minutes. I usually do this at night before going to bed, but I allow the water from the cucumber to dry on my skin and then I put a moisturizer on over it. But if the skin becomes too tight, then rinse off with warm water. You can also make cucumber water and have a glass before bed, to help cleanse from the inside out.

Ingredients

Vitamin A
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Amino Acids

Who can use cucumbers?

Anyone with problem skin can use cucumbers. They can be made into masks or moisturizers.

Side effects

I did not experience any side effects from using cucumbers for my acne. There was only as small issue, which was tightness in my face.

Cost

About .79 cents
Can be bought from health food stores or other supermarkets

Like I stated above, everyone’s skin is different and different acne products will affect each person differently. I personally have had a wonderful experience with using cucumbers for my acne. They work wonders on my skin and use them every day along with my Zeno. Not only are cucumbers healthy to eat, but they are great for the skin. They work on all skin types. I know this because I have friends with different skin types from my own and cucumbers work for them. Give cucumbers a try, you have nothing to lose but your acne.

MaxClarity Review

I have suffered from acne since middle school; it went from mild to severe after I turned 13. But since then, I have used every product that you can think of and they either made my acne worse or gave me horrible dry skin, but still I tried. If you have or currently suffer from acne, then you have probably tried everything. I am that person who has tried everything both prescribed and over the counter. I have tried everything from Nature’s Cure, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Proactiv, Skin ID, Murad, Olay, and finally Max Clarity. I have to say that I was not particularly impressed with Max Clarity. The ingredients in it made my flare ups even worse. Max Clarity was not the acne medicine for me and I would not recommend it to individuals who have combination skin, like me.

Having combination skin is a nightmare for the individuals who have it. Some days you may wake up with very oily skin and a few breakouts and other days you may wake up with very dry peeling skin with some flare ups. With combination skin you will never know what to expect; however, you must always be prepared for whatever you skin throws at you. You must have an acne system that will work for you, whether you have oily skin, dry skin, or both combined. Not all acne systems are appropriate for every skin type, so it is very important to try them out and choose the right one for your skin. I have tried everything out there and settled on one system that is great for my skin (Zeno). Using Max Clarity was my second to last resort and it did nothing to help with my breakouts, instead they got even worse. I used the Max Clarity system for about 2 weeks with no results except for the dry skin to the point where it was peeling off and very red and even bleeding in some spots. It felt as if I had gotten sunburned, and I am African American and do not burn in the sun. With that said, here is some information regarding Max Clarity.

What is Max Clarity?

Max Clarity is an acne system that uses an ingredient called Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid to fight bacteria that causes acne. Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid are the two main ingredients in the system.

Functions

For the use of clearing up pimples caused by acne
Dries quickly

Ingredients

Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid
Three piece system: Deep Cleanser 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide (for face, back, and chest), Advanced Acne Treatment 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and Rejuvenating Toner 0.5% Salicylic Acid.

Natural

Uses somewhat harsh chemicals, not natural
Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid
No need for pills
Do not go outside without a sunscreen after use

Time Frame

Depends on the individual and also on the severity of their acne
Or in as a little as two weeks

Who can use Max Clarity?

Please speak to your dermatologist before purchasing Max Clarity. It may or may not agree with your skin.
Only for individuals who have mild to severe forms of acne

Side effects

Severely dry skin if going out in the sun without sunscreen
Using with other products will cause dry skin
Might not work for every skin type

Costs

$19.95 for the complete set
Max Clarity cannot be purchased in stores, it has to be ordered

Like I stated above, everyone’s skin is different and different acne products will affect each person differently. I personally have had a horrible experience with Max Clarity which I tried only once and it made my flare-ups even worse. The chemicals in this system were a bit too much for my skin type.

BenzaClin Review

Trying BenzaClin was the worst mistake that I have ever made in my life. My doctor prescribed it to me when I needed something that would clear up my acne before going to a wedding. It was extremely expensive and it nearly ruined my life. The ingredients in the medication made my flare-ups even worse and gave me horrible dry skin. Please do some searches on this acne system before you purchase it. There may be some ingredients in the medication that you may be allergic to. I have never heard of some of these ingredients and I have used different acne products. My doctor assured me that it was the absolute best system, non-evasive and natural and will not cause any side effects. Boy was he wrong. BenzaClin is actually just one bottle and not an actual system. This disappointed me greatly because it cost almost as much as an acne system.

I finally came across a product called BenzaClin that my doctor actually prescribed and swore by it. I am sad to say that it was a wasted trip to the doctor’s office because he prescribed me something that nearly ruined my face even worse than my acne. It did clear up and dry up the pimples; however, it severely dried my skin out and left it flaky and somewhat wrinkled not matter how much moisturizer I used on my face. The sun was my worst enemy because it burned my skin and even caused my face to sunburn. I am African American and do not burn in the sun, but after using this product and then going out in the sun with sunscreen on, the sun still burned my skin. This particular acne medication was just too strong my skin.

What is BenzaClin?

BenzaClin is a topical acne medication that is prescribed by a doctor for the purpose of curing acne. The medication includes two very acne medications called Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin and very effective for people with acne vulgaris.

Functions

To eliminate acne
Help fight acne causing bacteria
Reduce inflammation of pimples

Time frame

My doctor told me that I should see results within one week of use; however, you have to use the medication exactly as prescribed.

Price

Depends on your insurance carrier and if they cover BenzaClin or a generic brand.

Natural ?
Not very natural
Some very harmful ingredients

Ingredients

Benzoyl Peroxide
Clindamycin
Lincomycin

Side effects

Extremely dry skin
Diarrhea
Shortness of breath

If you are experiencing any side effects from this particular acne medication please call your doctor right away because you might be allergic to the ingredients in it. Some severe reactions include swelling, shortness of breath, and vomiting. In some mild cases, diarrhea may occur.

Money back guarantee

There are no guarantees with this product. It either works or it does not. The only way to find out for sure if it does work is to keep using but if it does not, then you can always stop; however, you cannot send it back. You’re pretty much stuck with a product that you do not want unless you choose to throw it away.

I personally did not have a good running with BenzaClin whatsoever. Maybe this is due to the fact that my skin type is different from other people’s skin types. What did not work for me might work for someone else. Just be patient with the results. I waited two weeks and barely saw any results except for severe dry skin that took a long time to go away.

Zenmed Derma Cleanse Review

I was very skeptical about trying ZenMed Derma Cleanse for my acne but I was desperate enough to try their product. I had a friend who swore by this company and convinced me to try this acne system. She also convinced me that it was better than all of the other acne products that had used such as Proactiv and Max Clarity. At this point I really had nothing to lose and order ZenMed Derma Cleanse. It took almost two weeks to be delivered instead of the 4 to 7 days promise that was guaranteed to me over the phone. When I received my package, one of the bottles was broken and leaking all over the other products. I called the company to let them know what had happened and they advised me to purchase a new bottle! At this point I was so livid that I wanted nothing else to do with the company. I did try to salvage the cleanser as best I could and used what was left of it. I have to say that I was sorely disappointed with the product and the with the way customer service treated me. I will never order anything that has to do with ZenMed after using their product. The system is said to be natural and irritant free, this is not true. If anything this product made my flare-ups even worse. It was a good thing that they had a 60 day money back guarantee.

I have suffered from acne since middle school; it went from mild to severe after I turned 13. But since then, I have used every product that you can think of and they either made my acne worse or gave me horrible dry skin, but still I tried. There comes a time when people actually reach their breaking point and try other natural ingredients for their skin, and depending on how often they are used, they actually work. Some harmful chemicals (dried my skin out)

Ingredients

Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids

Salicylic acid

Side effects

Some dry skin

I personally did not have a good running with ZenMed Derma Cleanse. My skin type is different from other people’s skin types. What did not work for me might work for someone else. Just be patient with the results. I waited two weeks and did not see any results but you might be lucky and see results after 3 days.
